Saint Luis Reys Coming Back
Honduran Saint Luis Reys are coming back to market.
The powerful smokes, a hit with aficionados during the cigar boom days, have been off the market for years, but brand owner Altadis U.S.A. Inc. is ready to roll out new, cheaper versions of the cigars in about one week.
Saint Luis Rey cigars are being made in the Copan area of Honduras. They will be available in five sizes: double corona (6 1/2 inches by 48 ring); toro (6 by 50); belicoso (6 1/8 by 52); Churchill (7 by 52) and rothschild (5 by 54). The cigars are extremely inexpensive. The cheapest, the rothschild, will have a suggested retail price of $2.75. The most expensive in the line, the Churchill and belicoso, will be $3.25.
