UT Arlington Goes Tobacco Free
After this weekend, all tobacco products will be off-limits on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington.
The ban includes smoking cigarettes, cigars and pipes and even using smokeless tobacco anywhere on university property. Tobacco users are only allowed to use tobacco products in their cars, with the windows rolled up and if all tobacco waste is properly disposed of.
The rules are for everyone on campus, including visitors.
University administrators add that anyone who violates the policy will be punished -- though they are vague as to what that punishment may be.
The university is even committed to helping those who wish to stop using tobacco products do so.
