Second Diamond Crown Lounge Opens
A second Diamond Crown cigar lounge is setting up shop in Orlando, Florida, and plans are in the works for still more smoke-friendly bars under the brand.
The second location is partnered with the third and latest Sunshine State cigars shop owned by the Corona Cigar Co., which opened in downtown Orlando this week. The 3,000-square-foot lounge offers patrons a wide assortment of Cognacs, Scotches, whiskeys and pre-embargo Cuban rums in a setting made to look like a quaint Nicaraguan village complete with handmade furniture from Central America.
The first Diamond Crown lounge opened at Davidus Cigars in Urbana, Maryland, last year. The Diamond Crown brand is owned by J.C. Newman Cigar Co. of Tampa, Florida, and the cigars are made by Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. in the Dominican Republic. J.C. Newman president Eric M. Newman said more Diamond Crown lounges will be opening across the country.
Although the downtown Orlando establishment is already opened for business, the grand opening celebration is scheduled for this Saturday.
