Aficionado s Premium Cigars & Wine - Coral Springs FL

Anyone in the Coral Springs, Florida area (Near Ft. Lauderdale) should consider themselves lucky to have Aficionado's Premium Cigars & Wine in town. The shop offers a cigar lounge with over-sized leather chairs, flat screen TV, espresso machine, snacks and wine. Gary Teitelbaum is the owner, but I was lucky enough to have visited when his lovely and charismatic daughter, Michaela, was managing the store. (No offense Gary.) ;-)

Wine & Cigars are offered along with an accommodating setting

The shop has been open for just one year. It is the "sister shop" to the original location in Pembroke Pines, FL. Gary, formerly a photographer, was introduced to cigars by his daughter Michaela's husband Adam, 12 years ago. Gary lives near the Pembroke Pines store and was a frequent patron. One day he he decided to partner with Armando, the owner of the original store, to open Aficionado's Premium Cigars & Wine in Coral Springs.

The shop has hours posted on the door, but Michaela says if there are a bunch of guys hanging around enjoying themselves they occasionally stay open longer. The shop hours are Monday - Friday 11 am - 8 pm, and Sunday 11 am - 5 pm.

Aficionado's carries all major brands and beyond. The current best sellers are Padron, Perdomo, the Camacho Big Bertha, Ashton and Romeo y Julieta. They sell wine by the bottle for take-out, but they also have wine tastings and cigar tastings twice a month. The tasting events are no charge and meats and cheeses are offered at the wine events as well.
