South Dakota business to hold farewell to indoor smoking
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KTIV) -- The South Dakota smoking ban goes into effect on November 10 and some will be getting together to say a final farewell.
The law, which passed a public vote last Tuesday, requires operators of places where smoking is prohibited to tell violators about the law. The ban doesn't apply to tobacco shops, designated hotel rooms and existing cigar bars.
Beano and Sherry's in North Sioux City is hosting a "South Dakota Smoke Out" Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
The business plans to give away ashtrays every hour.
